Real Madrid's winger Extends Regret to Los Blancos Supporters

Vinicius Jr has netted five strikes in 10 La Liga matches so far this term.

Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to supporters for his conduct when replaced in the recent fiery Clasico clash triumph.

Vinicius was substituted in the 72nd min and displayed his frustration by heading directly off the pitch.

The Brazilian later returned to the sidelines and, following his team's narrow triumph, tried to confront Barcelona's Lamine Yamal during unpleasant after the game incidents.

"This day I want to express regret to all the Madridistas for my behavior when I was replaced in the big match," the player shared on X.

"Similarly to I have already done during the latest training, I also want to express regret anew to my teammates, the organization, and the club president.

"Sometimes fervor takes over me because I always want to triumph and support my club. My competitive character originates in the passion I hold for this institution and each thing it stands for."

He joined Real from Brazil in 2018 for £38.7m and has scored triple figures in numerous matches.

But his future in the La Liga is uncertain with rumors in lately suggesting that the club would contemplate allowing the player depart if they got a good proposal.

When the winger was replaced on that day, TV coverage from network Dazn captured him remarking: "It's always me! I'm exiting the club! It's preferable if I go, I'm moving on."

In his most recent post on X, Vinicius said: "I commit to keep striving at all times for the benefit of Los Blancos, as I have acted since the first day."
